Osijek, the main city in the region encompassing Vukovar and Vinkovci, which were all particularly badly affected during the Balkans conflict.  This region of Croatia should not be confused with West Croatia, i.e., Split, Dubrovnik, where tourism and other external industries have accelerated recovery.

Once more the aftermath of war in this region is currently being highlighted due to the trials currently in progress at The Hague.

It is not enough to hand out medicines and humanitarian aid then moves on.

Suffering continues for those remaining, especially when they are trying to rebuild their lives after the horrors, indignities and inhumanities inflicted upon them.

One of the major problems to be faced in these circumstances is how to get back to normality, and, more importantly, how to regain self-confidence and hope for the future.  

That why, our therapeutic riding program means more than therapeutic program for handicapped children and people. Here, we are all disabled and we need the vision of possibility success. Therapeutic riding program is it. It is the lesson for the society that there is the way, and improving social skills, empathy and positive way of thinking, our program is essential part of process of recovering or upgrading life for this space…
